Beach Bumming in St John Virgin Islands

The beauty of visiting St John Virgin Islands is there are so many other islands that are close together, so you can visit multiple islands in one trip. St John is about a 15 minute ferry ride from St. Thomas and when you get there you have several different beach options. When you get off the ferry there will be a bunch of taxi’s lined up waiting to take you wherever you want. We took a taxi up a hill and went to check out Trunk Bay because it’s considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We also checked out Cinnamon Bay, because it was close.  After doing some serious sun bathing and swimming with the fish, we headed back toward WharfSide Village in Cruz Bay to walk around and do some shopping and eating. We had a good time chatting and laughing with the local people as we browsed and walked off the huge meal we demolished after we left the beach. It really was a perfect day.  We stopped at a hut on the side of the road to have some fresh pineapple from a guy that had what is now my favorite saying when I travel to an island… “Slow Down… we on Island time!!” 😉
